Design v. Production: the story of the Original bag

My dear friends, customers, and dear customers who became good friends-
I am happy to announce that we have a small run of our Original Bag (inspired by a French plumber bag and created in 2010), available now.
 
After a capsule production in 2011, we were unable to make these bags.

Although they seem so simple, the thickness of the leather and its quality make it very difficult to work with. They have to be either perfect or nothing. The stitching is very visible and not one stitch can go wrong, a very clean work environment is also key since they can’t be stained during production.  

Unlike fabric, leather and especially 8-9oz vegetable tanned natural leather is tricky, there is no going back once you have made a mistake.
 
It took us about 8 years of research, meetings, samples, disappointments, false excitement… to finally find that one small atelier in the US able to create the perfect one.
